Why is the Manta foam roller a different shape to other foam rollers?

It was designed with your body’s anatomy in mind. The unique shape allows it to mould around your spine & other bony projections making it much more comfortable and effective, as it can reach the muscles other rollers can’t & so deliver great results

Can the Manta Roller be used across the whole body or is it just for the back?

While it is especially well suited for use on the back it can also be used across the whole body. It can ease muscle tension from the small muscles at the base of the skull, the larger muscles of the legs to the planter fascia of your feet.

What are the pops and clicks I get when I use the manta foam roller on my back?

Pops & clicks are totally normal when you’re rolling your back. It is a sign that the spinal joints are moving & is caused by gases being released & dissolving inside the joint. It is exactly the same process as being manipulated by an osteopath.

How hard is the Manta Foam Roller?

The Manta Roller is firm to get the best results but can feel a bit sore if you are new to it. The more regularly you roll the easier it will feel. For a gentle roll use the outer grooves on the legs or use it standing against a wall for your back.

Is it better to roll fast or slow?

Slow. If you roll too fast you will only skim the surface of the muscles. Try and roll slowly and firmly. This will enable the treatment of trigger points and tight muscles and be more effective.
