Oxygen and moisture in the air causes food to degrade, leading to a loss of flavour, texture and nutritional value. Conventional storage, such as plastic wrap and ordinary containers, contribute to the problem by trapping air inside. FoodSaver Vacuum Sealing Systems remove air, preventing it from coming into contact with your food. Note: There is no separate power switch on the machine The on / off function is via the side locking mechanism that opens, closes the machine in off position, to start the machine.
